In conclusion...

Hello, dear fall breakers,

Are we blessed or what? Time off after the first quarter, wow!

Today you are going to write two sentences of your concluding paragraph of the "essay" you've been writing via the blog for a week. (You'll then easily write the real thing, using these treasures, to turn in next Wednesday -- either in class or in my box.) The two sentences you are writing today include the first sentence of your last paragraph and the last sentence of your concluding paragraph.

The first one should restate the thesis, but reword it to avoid repetition. It should contain the main point or purpose and the three main subtopics.

The last sentence should be some sort of thought-provoking clincher sentence about the subject.

Stick with what you've been going with this week -- or rewrite the thesis, topic sentences, in addition to today's assignment. Remember, you'll be using this for your real paper. By real paper, please know that I mean the typical 5-paragraph, 500-word essay you normally turn in on Fridays! You've just got the thesis, topic sentences and concluding sentence written already.

Have a great break!
Love,
Mrs. D

I found it! WOw! I can't believe that. Sorry I had some trouble again. NoPP by the way.

R.T. (restate thesis)-
As we all know, the main purpose for buying a sports car is for its looks and most importantly, its speed. When comparing the Mustang GT with the Eclipse Spyder, not only does the Mustang out run the Eclipse, but it looks better and sounds better too.

T.P. (thought provoker)(did I spell that right?)
Although there are many foriegn sports cars on the market, the Muscle car style Mustang far exceeds all. No matter what other companies may place on the show floor, there has never been a car as good as an American Muscle car.
